Storms like this are not business friendly!
What a crazy week in Connecticut!
An October snowstorm dumped 15″ of winter knocking out power for most of the state and halting business – including Key Hyundai of Manchester.
One week of no power on Rte 83 in Vernon/Manchester means little or no business to be had for Key Hyundai of Manchester. Or so I thought!
The October Nor’easter blew into our state, leaving Key Hyundai without power for 8 days: no phones, no electric, no internet, no nothing. But that didn’t stop us!
Despite being under construction, despite going “old-school” with hand-written orders piling up for “anticipated power restoration dates” that never realized when promised, all was not doom and gloom at Key Hyundai of Manchester!
In fact, in my glass-half-full optimism, our parking lot was able to be paved, and construction of the new Key Hyundai moved at breakneck speed, much in part, unfortunately, due to the lack of foot traffic and customer shopping.
MORE Key Hyundai Service! Even with limited power!
That said, our service department kept at it, servicing cars they could with what they had, amazing colleagues and thrilling customers with a results. Great job!!!
Sales plodded along, slower than slow, but each day, our staff showed up, ready to work, meeting and greeting our community and commiserating about the power outage, and test driving a few vehicles in the meantime. We made connections, sharing hope and tales of downed trees and blocked roads.
Neighbors helping neighbors. What’s more powerful than that?
The power may have gone out, but our community remains strong! Now time to get back to business, full steam ahead, with MORE power, MORE energy, and MORE Connecticut nose-to-the-grindstone work ethic that will get our business moving and growing and thriving to bring MORE to Connecticut car buyers!
